Nanban kiln 9-9-10

This is the end of the first level. I have put all the ware with handles and spouts in so the protuberance sticks out in a way that goes with the flow of the fire. This clay slumps very easy so in order to reduce the risk it is better not to have any part catching the flow of heat.

The wadding clay will help so the lid doesn’t stick to the main part of the work. Interestingly sometimes the tape will leave a ghost image on the clay.
