Energy talk by Daniel B. Botkin

I would like to give a link to a very interesting discussion. The talk can be accessed here. The following cut and paste is from the site biography.

Daniel B. Botkin is a scientist, naturalist, ecologist, biologist, and physicist. He began researching global warming in the 1960s and was one of the first scientists to predict its possible effects. Mr. Botkin is a professor emeritus of the department of ecology, evolution, and marine biology at the University of California-Santa Barbara. He is also president and founder of the Center for the Study of the Environment, a nonprofit research and educational corporation in New York City. Mr. Botkin serves on the board of the Environmental Literacy Council and on the board of trustees of the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress. Mr. Botkin is known widely for his books about the idea of nature and the implications of modern science for our ideas about environment. His acclaimed book Discordant Harmonies: A New Ecology for the 21st Century (Oxford University Press, 1990) is considered the classic text of the environmental movement.

If you don’t want to be challenged on popular preceptions¬† of energy it is better to not listen.
